Apex2100 International Ski Academy is seeking an experienced and strategic Alpine Director to lead the development, delivery, and evolution of its alpine ski programme.

This senior leadership role is based full-time in Tignes and is fully embedded in the daily life and culture of the Academy. The Alpine Director works closely with the Academy Director and plays a central role in leadership alignment, coach development, athlete wellbeing, and parent engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Management

  • Act as a core member of the Academy leadership team
  • Lead, support, and develop Head Coaches across all levels
  • Manage escalated issues and ensure clear accountability
  • Build a collaborative and high-performance coaching culture

Team & Staffing

  • Serve as Training Team Manager for Alpine programmes
  • Lead recruitment, hiring, and development of coaching staff
  • Delegate effectively with clear ownership and accountability

Programme Oversight & Athlete Development

  • Evaluate and evolve programming across all age groups
  • Align programmes with performance data and long-term development principles
  • Promote a holistic approach to athlete development, including mental, physical, and social wellbeing
  • Work closely with the Perform Better team to ensure programme alignment

Strategic Development

  • Develop and implement Alpine strategy and performance frameworks
  • Contribute to long-term planning and athlete pathway design
  • Support programme innovation and continuous improvement

Budget & Resources

  • Develop and manage programme budgets in coordination with the Academy Director
  • Ensure responsible and effective use of resources

Communication & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead internal communication across staff
  • Manage external communication with parents and partners
  • Act as a key contact with FFS, Savoie authorities, Club des Sports, and performance partners

Parent Education

  • Collaborate on the design and delivery of parent education initiatives

Feedback, Reporting & Quality Assurance

  • Develop and oversee reporting systems
  • Monitor programme quality and coaching effectiveness

Coach Development

  • Support and facilitate ongoing coach education and professional development

Candidate Profile

  • Proven leadership experience in alpine ski racing or high-performance sport
  • Strong background in coach development and programme management
  • Deep understanding of long-term athlete development principles
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Willingness to live and work full-time in Tignes, France
