Austria’s Marcel Hirscher has signed a new equipment deal with Atomic.
AUSTRIA'S MARCEL HIRSCHER has signed a new equipment deal with Atomic.
The 19-year-old Hirscher scored some impressive results on the World Cup last season, including two third-place finishes in slalom at Kranjska Gora and at World Cup Finals in Bormio. He also won Junior World Championship gold medals in slalom and giant slalom.
Before the contract was signed Wednesday, intensive tests were made where Hirscher tested Atomic’s equipment with next season’s specifications. Hirscher switched to Atomic after using the Blizzard/Tecnica combination last season.
“We are proud that Marcel made the decision to use Atomic skis, bindings and boots and we welcome him in our young, dynamic racing team,” said Wolfgang Mayrhofer, the general manager of Atomic.
