In today’s shortened Cortina downhill, Swiss athlete Corrinne Suter and Canadian Marie-Michèle Gagnon did not race. Both had experienced high-speed crashes in the Friday full-length edition. Gagnon reported on Instagram that she would evaluate her situation for tomorrow’s super-G. SwissSki reports Suter will continue her recovery by resting through Sunday.

After her fall on Friday, the medical investigations in Cortina did not reveal any serious injuries to Corinne Suter. Since the downhill Olympic champion and world champion still doesn't feel 100 percent fit, she decided as a precautionary measure not to start today's downhill and the Super-G on Sunday.

Her health will be reassessed next week.
Ski Racing wishes both athletes a speedy recovery and thanks them for their courage.
