One Month to Season Opening: Major News for Young Star Lara Colturi and the Albanian Ski Federation
Italy – Sept. 25, 2025 – The countdown has begun for the 2025-26 World Cup season, which will mark Lara Colturi’s fourth year on the circuit. At just 18 years old, Colturi has already earned three World Cup podiums and will turn 19 this November. The Italian-born skier represents Albania, where she has contributed significantly to the nation’s World Cup success. Her rise has been remarkable, especially after a season-ending injury at the 2023 World Championships in Méribel, France, cut short her first FIS year.
A Spring of Studies and Growth
“It has been a special spring for me, a different one,” Colturi said. “After last March’s World Cup Finals, I focused on studying in preparation for my high school diploma exams in administration and finance. I’m very proud of my academic journey, which has been full of emotions, valuable lessons, and strong bonds.”
After exams, she returned to training. Colturi spent several days skiing in Les Deux Alpes in June and July before traveling to New Zealand for an extended training block in August and September.
“We worked very well: slope conditions, weather, and temperatures were excellent this year,” she said. “I was able to train and test new Blizzard and Tecnica equipment both in giant slalom and slalom, and also spend a few days skiing super-G. It was really fun for me to put on the long skis again; those sessions were very useful for technical disciplines. We can be satisfied with this long trip. I’ll be back on skis in Sölden at the beginning of October and then once again be at home in Val di Fassa throughout the winter and spring.”
Blizzard and Tecnica, together with Nordica, belong to the Tecnica Group — a global leader in ski equipment trusted by many of the sport’s top athletes.
New Leadership Role Added
The Albanian Ski Federation announced several team developments. The most significant is the addition of Alessandro Schiasselloni as Strategic Supervisor for Integrated Performance. Schiasselloni, who once guided Daniela Ceccarelli to Olympic gold in 2002, will oversee coordination across technical, physical, and organizational areas.
“My greatest motivation is to support Lara, an extraordinary talent, in growing with balance and quality,” Schiasselloni said. “It’s very special for me to return to working with Daniela Ceccarelli and Alessandro Colturi after the successes we achieved in the past. My work is carried out in synergy with the coaches and staff. This is not just a technical team, but truly a family.”
A Tight-Knit Team Around Her
Colturi will continue to be coached on the slopes by her parents — Daniela Ceccarelli, the 2002 Olympic super-G champion, and Alessandro Colturi. The group also includes technician Andrea Vianello (Blizzard), osteopath Martino Delleani (Red Bull), performance monitoring and activation specialist Luisa Finotti, and Andrea Cappelletti, who manages marketing, media relations, and organization.
The team prides itself on being compact yet highly specialized, combining experience, innovation, and an interdisciplinary vision to guide Colturi’s progress.
New Partnerships for the Season
This season also brings major sponsorship news. Adidas becomes the official apparel and footwear partner of the Albanian Ski Federation, outfitting all its representatives. In addition, Colturi’s team announced four new partners, including Diston, which provides advanced cut-resistant apparel.
These new partnerships build on her established long-term sponsors.
