Five-time World Cup overall champion Marcel Hirscher will continue his success story with Redster race equipment from Atomic through at least the end of the 2018 season.

Once the stress and hype over winning his historic fifth consecutive World Cup globe eased, Hirscher made an important decision for his future in sports: The current best skier in the world continues to trust the equipment from Atomic out of Altenmarkt, Austria. The corresponding partner agreement will last until the end of the Olympic season in 2018.

With the FIS Alpine Ski World Championships 2017 in St. Moritz and Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang 2018 on the horizon, ski racing superstar Hirscher remains hungry for more in the winters ahead. Besides his Redster ski setup, Hirscher will continue to trust in the boots, helmet, and goggles from Atomic.

“We have all achieved quite a lot together and we know at the same time how we can still improve,” said Hirscher of his partnership with Atomic. “#WEARESKIING – the motto remains the same, and I’m more than happy about this!”

The Redster race unit ends the season in style with four crystal globes: two for Marcel Hirscher, one for Peter Fill and one for Aleksander Aamodt Kilde. Eighteen victories, 43 podiums, and quite a few broken records definitely inspire confidence for the upcoming World Championship season in 2016-17.

The extension of the winning partnership will remain in force until the end of the 2018 season, which will be right after the end of the Olympic Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

“’Never change a winning team’ is an old formula for success,” said Atomic General Manager Wolfgang Mayrhofer, General Manager at Atomic. “Ski racing is a team sport when it comes to optimum material. Naturally we are all delighted that Marcel will continue to be part of our Atomic team in the forthcoming seasons with a major event in each of them.”
