The gear testing season has arrived, with alpine ski racing brands gearing up to be available at various off-season training locations. 

This presents athletes of all ages with a valuable chance to try out new equipment.  Also, gear testing is essential for getting acquainted with gear, exploring alternative options, and discovering innovative products for the upcoming season. 

These brands are committed to equipping athletes with top-notch gear to enhance their performance and increase their chances of success.

Atomic 

Following a record-setting season on the world stage, Atomic is charging into summer with championship energy, brand new Redster race product, and a summer test program designed to bring World Cup race performance to the next generation of skiers. 

Leading the 25/26 testing assortment is the new Redster G9 Revoshock S, equipped with the latest generation of Revoshock technology, which absorbs vibration to deliver unmatched stability and precision at any speed. Dynastar

With a brand-new look for the 2025-2026 season, Dynastar is excited to showcase its new race collection at its Race Test Center at Mount Hood this summer. Athletes can get a firsthand feel for the latest Race Department innovations and interact with Dynastar’s team of experts, who will be on hand to offer personalized advice and guidance. Our goal is to help athletes discover confidence and trust in their equipment to reach their goals. 

Dynastar utilizes its process-driven World Cup +1 concept. After prototyping and validation with World Cup and Europa Cup athletes, Dynastar brings the opportunity and access to real World Cup proven ski performance to all FIS and junior level athletes. This 12-to-18-month process translates the knowledge and skill of World Cup athletes, technicians and engineers to support the long term development of junior athletes and their equipment needs.

HEAD

As the best ski team at the World Championships and the best ski team in the World Cup – HEAD once again proves its supremacy in alpine ski racing in the 2024/25 season. The HEAD World Cup Rebels won three individual Gold medals at the World Championships thanks to Franjo von Allmen, Camille Rast and Stephanie Venier, while Lara Gut-Behrami set a new record with her sixth Crystal Globe in the Super-G.

Eleven HEAD team athletes won 20 World Cup victories, and HEAD skiers stood on the podium a total of 65 times in the World Cup this season. With 7,900 points, HEAD once again decisively won the FIS brand ranking.

Nordica 

Nordica is gearing up for an exciting summer of ski testing at two premier alpine training destinations: Mt. Hood, Oregon, and Copper Mountain, Colorado.

Test the latest 2026 Dobermann 5 boots and Dobermann race ski collection, including the new 151 SL and 173 GS models specifically designed for U14 athletes. 

Test Nordica at the following locations: 

Copper Mountain and Winter Park Resort, Colorado: May 12th – 16th 2025

About the Author: Ellie Hartman

Ellie Hartman was born and raised in Breckenridge, Colorado, and was on skis soon after she was able to walk. She raced for Team Summit, out of Copper Mountain, from the age of five until she was 18. After her PG program ended, she embarked on an unexpected journey when she was recruited to join the NCAA Division II rowing team at Barry University in Miami, Florida. She took on the role of team captain and led her squad to victory in two NCAA Championships, all while successfully completing her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Business Administration. After, she took 4 years to work, travel and write. Then, Ellie went back to Miami to assistant coach the University of Miami Women's Rowing Team and get a another degree in a Master's of Professional Science for Marine Conservation. She spent time as a Communications Specialist, Research Assistant and Marine Mammal Observer for NOAA SEFSC. After her contract ended, she was excited to find her way back into the ski racing world! Ellie enjoys skiing, ocean animals, great coffee, travel, SCUBA Diving, anything outdoors, delicious beer, and happy people.
