The women’s North American Cup kicked off at Copper Mountain on the World Cup race hill with a condensed five-race series that demanded consistency and focus. From Mary Bocock’s Super-G sweep to strong international showings and emerging talent, the week showcased athletes pushing for early-season momentum and valuable Nor-Am points.
The first NorAm Cup races of the season kicked off at Panorama Mountain Resort, British Columbia, with two thrilling super-G races for the men and women.
The NorAm Finals concluded in Panorama Resort, British Columbia with an exhilarating series of races. The NorAm Cup titles were an accumulation of the NorAm races throughout the season. After the final race, each discipline has a title winner, and the victorious athletes that claim the overall titles are awarded.
After days of canceled super-G races at the NorAm Finals in Panorama, British Columbia, the event changed to tech races. The men competing in GS and the women battled in the slalom. Four different winners came out of the two days.
This past week, the men competed in the final regular season NorAm series, hosted in Mont Ste-Marie, Quebec. Two giant slaloms and two slaloms were scheduled. However, one of the slaloms got canceled. Nevertheless, the men had a successful few days of racing before the NorAm Finals.
The North American (NorAm) Cup series continued into its final regular season races. The women competed in two days of slalom at Devils Glen, Ontario, and transitioned to two days of giant slalom at Georgian Peaks, Ontario.
