The FISU Winter World University Games commenced with two athletes from USA universities achieving success. Louison Accambray from the University of Colorado and Loïc Chable from the University of Denver secured victories in the initial days of this prestigious competition.
The collegiate season kicked off yesterday with an RMISA Qualifier slalom event held on the course in Loveland, Colorado. Both University of Denver and University of Colorado athletes earned a spot on the top of the podium. Sara Rask (DU) won against the women’s field, and Filip Wahlqvist (CU) achieved victory for the men.
The alpine ski racer from the University of Denver, Mia Hunt, has secured victory in a time trial, thereby earning a place on the FIS World Cup circuit. Her debut will be at the Killington World Cup slalom.
