The start list is out for the Women’s Olympic Super-G at Olympia delle Tofane.
Forty-three racers. Twenty-three nations. One run. One medal ceremony.
The race is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026, in Cortina d’Ampezzo, where the course demands power, focus, and total commitment from top to bottom.
Below you’ll find the full start order, medal favorites, USA and Canada roster breakdowns, season Super-G standings context, and downloadable race documents. Complete viewing information — including direct live-feed links for USA, CAN and GBR — is provided at the bottom of this article.
A Race That Feels Different
This Super-G arrives with an edge.
Lindsey Vonn, third in the World Cup Super-G standings, crashed violently in Sunday’s Olympic downhill while chasing what would have been her second career Olympic gold medal. Hooking an arm in a panel while airborne at over 60 mph, she was thrown hard to the snow and suffered a complex tibia fracture.
She will not start Thursday.
The absence of one of the sport’s most iconic figures reshapes the race. It removes a favorite. It opens space.
And with only four World Cup Super-G races completed this season, the discipline has not settled into a clear hierarchy.
Form matters. Confidence matters. Execution matters most.
World Cup Super-G Podiums 2025–26
| Venue | 1st | 2nd | 3rd |
|---|---|---|---|
| St. Moritz | 🇳🇿 Alice Robinson | 🇫🇷 Romane Miradoli | 🇮🇹 Sofia Goggia |
| Val d’Isère | 🇮🇹 Sofia Goggia | 🇳🇿 Alice Robinson | 🇺🇸 Lindsey Vonn |
| Tarvisio | 🇩🇪 Emma Aicher | 🇺🇸 Lindsey Vonn | 🇨🇿 Ester Ledecká |
| Crans-Montana | 🇨🇭 Malorie Blanc | 🇮🇹 Sofia Goggia | 🇺🇸 Breezy Johnson |
Four races. Four different podium combinations. No dominant script.
Women’s Super-G Standings (After Crans-Montana, 4 of 8)
- 🇮🇹 Sofia Goggia (1992) — 280 pts
- 🇳🇿 Alice Robinson (2001) — −60
- 🇺🇸 Lindsey Vonn (1984) — −90 (injured, not starting)
- 🇫🇷 Romane Miradoli (1994) — −99
- 🇨🇭 Malorie Blanc (2003) — −127
Five different nations sit inside the top five. That balance reflects just how open this Olympic Super-G is.
Start List Highlights and Early Favorites
The race opens aggressively.
Bib 1 — 🇨🇭 Malorie Blanc (SUI, 2004)
The most recent World Cup winner leads the field out of the gate.
Bib 4 — 🇦🇹 Mirjam Puchner (AUT, 1992)
The only remaining member of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Super-G podium still competing.
The middle of the start list may decide the medals.
Bib 6 — 🇮🇹 Federica Brignone (ITA, 1990)
One of the sport’s most accomplished Super-G skiers. Her race volume has been limited this season after last spring’s injury, but her ceiling remains as high as anyone’s.
Bib 7 — 🇩🇪 Emma Aicher (GER, 2003)
The 22-year-old rising force. A Super-G winner in Tarvisio. Already on two Olympic podiums this week. Confidence is not an issue.
Bib 9 — 🇮🇹 Sofia Goggia (ITA, 1992)
The World Cup Super-G leader. Three podiums in four races this season. The Italian crowd will expect gold.
Then comes one of the most dangerous skiers in the field.
Bib 14 — 🇳🇿 Alice Robinson (NZL, 2001)
A win and a second this season. Aggressive and confident.
Bib 15 — 🇫🇷 Romane Miradoli (FRA, 1994)
Consistent and powerful. Within striking distance.
Bib 19 — 🇺🇸 Breezy Johnson (USA, 1996)
Red hot. The Olympic downhill champion thrives on Olympia delle Tofane. She finished third in the final World Cup Super-G before the Games and skis this venue with authority. If she brings downhill intensity into Super-G precision, she is firmly in the medal conversation.
🇺🇸 USA — Olympic Super-G Starters
- Bib 18 — Keely Cashman (1999) — Bear Valley / Team Palisades Tahoe — Season SG Rank: 14
- Bib 19 — Breezy Johnson (1996) — Rowmark Ski Academy — Season SG Rank: 18
- Bib 21 — Mary Bocock (2003) — Rowmark Ski Academy — Season SG Rank: 25
- Bib 22 — Jacqueline Wiles (1992) — White Pass Ski Club — Season SG Rank: 28
Johnson enters as a serious medal contender. The Olympic downhill champion thrives on Olympia delle Tofane. Her third place in the final World Cup Super-G before the Games confirms her upward trajectory.
Bocock joins her as another Rowmark product, while Cashman and Wiles bring veteran composure to the lineup.
🇨🇦 Canada — Olympic Super-G Starters
- Bib 25 — Valerie Grenier (1996) — Season SG Rank: 24
- Bib 34 — Cassidy Gray (2001)
Grenier carries Canada’s Super-G points momentum into the Games, while Gray adds depth to the two-skier lineup.
Why Rankings Don’t Tell the Whole Story
With only four Super-G races completed this season, rankings reflect more than just this winter. The limited sample size has kept the discipline fluid.
Some skiers arrive with podium momentum. Others arrive with history. A few arrive with both.
On this course, hesitation costs tenths immediately.
There is no second run.
