The GS storyline: Scheib sets the standard

Julia Scheib has become the clear reference point in women’s giant slalom. Through seven races, she has six podiums, including four victories and two second-place finishes, and now enters every GS start as the favorite. Her ability to deliver across all terrain and conditions has defined her skiing.

Camille Rast is the primary challenger. She has reached the podium in three consecutive World Cup GS races, earning one win and two seconds, but competing with Scheib requires her very best skiing.

Alice Robinson remains one of the most popular and dangerous skiers in the field. She owns two wins, one second, and one third this season, but has struggled in the last three races, underscoring the fine line her aggressive approach demands.
