Mikaela Shiffrin dominates in World Cup Slalom with her 93rd career victory. She overwhelms her opponents taking a (-2.34) lead over second place Lena Duerr. US now has most women's victories in history, thanks to Shiffrin!
Marco Odermatt once again displayed his magnificence, securing victory with a nearly perfect run on Stelvio the Bormio World Cup.
Goodness gracious, Mikaela Shiffrin left the Courchevel night slalom and went to work to improve. She seems to have achieved the impossible; the best got even better. Skiing with bib seven and her US Stifel teammate, Paula Moltzan, in the finish with a significant lead, Shiffrin delivered a run that left no doubt about her dominance. Moltzan was a rocket with a few testing bobbles typical of skiing at the limit, but Shiffrin was faster (-1.14).

After a heart-pounding day of downhill racing, the men are transitioning into super-G at the Bormio World Cup event.
When Stifel US Ski Team's Mikaela Shiffrin is at the top of her game, she is nearly impossible to beat. She left the second run start with a (-1.25) advantage and skied powerfully but used a more conservative line. Taking full advantage of the wisdom of a veteran champion.
Cyprien Sarrazin of France achieved a triumphant run on the Stelvio track in Bormio, Italy. This was his first victory in a World Cup downhill!
When bib 3 Mikaela Shiffrin left the start, it was immediately apparent that she had spent her holiday improving. Skiing at another level, Shiffrin will take a (+0.63) lead over Sweden's reigning Olympic GS champion Sara Hector. But Hector is the only racer to finish within a second of Shiffrin. The Norwegian star Raghild Mowinckel had the third fastest time but (+1.03) behind. Also, the season's discipline leader, Switzerland's Lara Gut-Behrami, ends the morning ranked 4th (+1.49).
Race Preview: The men take on the Stelvio World Cup course in Bormio, Italy. They will race downhill and a super-G on December 28th and 29th.
Marco Schwarz took possession of the leader's throne. Cleent Noel took 2nd place and Dave Ryding earned 3rd place. Check out more deatils on the Madonna di Campiglio race.

The women's last first run of 2023 was spectacular. The current World Cup discipline leader, Mikaela Shiffrin skied as she has for most of the year, which is inspirational. Although her lifelong rival, Slovakia's Petra Vlhová, skied brilliantly, she could not execute through the most challenging hairpin with the skill of the world's best. Stifel US Ski Team's Shiffrin will ski last again on the second run and poetically close out 2023. Although Shiffrin was only (-0.17) faster than Vlhová, the Slovakian finished the first run (-1.06) faster than third-place Austrian Katharina Liensberger.

Marco "The Magnificent" Odermatt continues his domination of men's giant slalom. Switzerland's Odermatt used his unmatched skills to win his fourth career Alta Badia Gran Risa GS. It was the 17th GS victory of his career. It is hard to believe what this man is capable of. Men's GS is filled with exceptional talent, but Odermatt delivers a level the field can not match.
Starting five World Cups in five days, the Swiss were concerned about how much energy Marco Odermatt had remaining in his legs. However, he seemed to have found plenty in reserve. His first run in the final GS of 2023 was everything fans hope to see from the world's best.
Get set for tomorrow's Alta Badia GS after today's heart-pounding race, where Marco Odermatt clinched his thrilling 16th World Cup GS victory. The Gran Risa slope witnessed Odermatt's dominance again, with Filip Zubcic providing a fierce challenge.
Odermatt, who raced the previous three days in Val Gardena/Gröden, showed no lack of energy while winning his career 16th World Cup GS.
The Italian duo won back the podium on the challenging Val-d'Isère super-G course, with Federica Brignone taking first place. Lauren Macuga of Stifel US Ski Team earned 17th-place.
The first racer on the Gran Risa was Norwegian Henrik Kristoffersen. However, after the first seven racers skied, he was (+1.91) behind the Swiss leader Marco Odermatt. When Odermatt skis with his average precision and balance, no one in the world can match him.
Tomorrow, the women switch over to super-G in Val-d'Isère. Goggia won the first super-G race of the season, will she achieve first again?
