Green Mountain Valley School (GMVS) is a high-performance, college-preparatory ski academy built for athletes who are serious about chasing their potential – on the hill and in the classroom. Small by design and focused, GMVS delivers an integrated model where coaches, teachers, and performance staff collaborate to support each athlete’s development.
Training is anchored at the Kelly Brush Race Arena at Sugarbush Resort, providing consistent access to a world-class race venue. Year-round conditioning in the Racing Performance Center is paired with technical on-snow training blocks in Colorado, Chile, Norway and Switzerland. GMVS programs span the full developmental spectrum: from our junior race programs for U8-U14 athletes to the academy U14 middle school, U16, FIS and post-graduate programs that prepare ski racers for national team and collegiate pathways. The focus is clear: long term progression, competitive excellence, and readiness for the highest level of competition.
Academically, GMVS offers a college preparatory curriculum that matches the ambition of its athletes. Small class sizes and coordinated academic-athletic scheduling ensure that students are challenged, supported, and held accountable. Intellectual growth is fundamental to the GMVS model.
At GMVS, athletes are known, coached, and pushed. Leadership, resilience, and ownership are daily expectations. Students may also choose to compete in soccer and lacrosse, participate in musical theater and visual arts, and engage in a vibrant student life program that develops confident competitors prepared to excel on the hill and in life.
