Ski Racing Media, in conjunction with Daron Rahlves and WEND Waxworks, is pleased to present an instructional series, “Ski Tips with Daron Rahlves.” In this weekly video series, which will run throughout the winter season, the ski racing legend will discuss any and all topics related to alpine ski racing. From tactics on the hill, to conditioning and ski prep, Rahlves will share the trade secrets that made him one of the best in the world.

The most decorated male American downhill and super G skier in history, Daron Rahlves has won 12 World Cup races, 28 World Cup podiums, seven U.S. national titles, was the 2001 World Champion in super G, silver medalist at the 2005 Worlds in Downhill and bronze medalist in Giant Slalom. As the 2003 winner of the legendary Hahnenkamm downhill (and super G in 2004) Rahlves also held seven podium finishes in Kitzbuhel over five years. 

In 2008, Rahlves took home the Skicross gold at the Winter X Games and finished third overall on the Jeep Skiing/48 Straight Tour. Not only placing second with his top World Cup Skicross finish in Austria, Rahlves also made the U.S. Olympic Team in 2010 for his fourth time to debut his new ski discipline in Vancouver, Canada. In 2011 the Rahlves’ Banzai Tour was established to bring a unique event to the snow sports community and continues to run each year.
