The Audi FIS Alpine Ski World Cup heads to Val di Fassa, Italy, where the world’s top speed racers will compete Sunday on La VolatA in the seventh and final regular-season women’s Super-G of the 2025–26 season.

With the World Cup Finals in Kvitfjell, Norway approaching, the stakes are high. After Sunday’s race, only the top 25 skiers in the Super-G standings will qualify to compete in the season-ending event.

The start list includes 57 racers from 14 nations, featuring season leader Sofia Goggia, rising contenders Alice Robinson and Emma Aicher, and a rare Super-G appearance by Mikaela Shiffrin.

Who Leads the Women’s Super-G Standings?

Top Five — Women’s World Cup Super-G Standings

  1. 🇮🇹 Sofia Goggia (ITA, 1992, Atomic) — 420 pts
  2. 🇳🇿 Alice Robinson (NZL, 2001) — −84

  4. 🇨🇿 Ester Ledecká (CZE, 1995) — −200
  5. 🇫🇷 Romane Miradoli (FRA, 1994) — −210

With one regular-season race remaining, Sofia Goggia is firmly in control of the race for the Super-G globe. Robinson and Aicher remain mathematically within reach, but the pair are more realistically battling for second place in the standings unless Goggia falters.

Cashman and Johnson are the two highest-ranked Americans in Super-G this season. One of the most compelling storylines centers on Mary Bocock, who sits 23rd in the discipline standings, placing her within reach of her first World Cup Finals qualification.

Veteran Tricia Mangan, ranked 27th, is also close to the cutoff and could still earn her first Finals start with a strong result.

🇨🇦 Alpine Canada — Women’s Super-G

  • Bib 29 🇨🇦 Valérie Grenier (CAN, 1996) — World Cup SG Rank 24

Grenier enters the final regular-season race inside the top 25, meaning a solid result Sunday would secure her place in the World Cup Finals in Kvitfjell.

Why Is Mikaela Shiffrin Racing Super-G Again?

Mikaela Shiffrin’s appearance on the start list is one of the most intriguing storylines of the race.

Sunday’s event marks just her second Super-G start since Dec. 17, 2023. She attempted a Super-G earlier this season in December 2025 but did not finish.

Despite focusing mainly on technical disciplines in recent seasons, the most successful skier in World Cup history has five career Super-G victories, most recently in December 2022. Seeing her return to the discipline brings additional excitement to the race.

Why Isn’t Olympic Champion Federica Brignone Racing?

Olympic Super-G champion Federica Brignone will not compete in Val di Fassa.

The Italian star announced after the Soldeu races that due to pain, she has suspended racing for the remainder of the season and will return next winter. Her absence removes one of the most accomplished speed racers from the field.
