The Winter Park Competition Center (WPCC) Full-time Academy is one of the nation’s premier destinations for dedicated athletes with the drive to reach the top of their sport. For decades, WPCC has cultivated champions by combining elite coaching, innovative training environments, and a deep tradition of excellence that propels athletes from junior competition to collegiate, national, and international levels.
WPCC offers full-time programming across every major winter sport discipline—Alpine, Freeski, Freeride, Freestyle, Nordic, and Snowboard—creating a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment where athletes thrive. Our curriculum is designed to balance rigorous academics with world-class athletic training, ensuring that athletes are prepared to excel on the hill and in the classroom.
Our highly experienced coaching staff lead each discipline with cutting-edge knowledge of techniques, tactics, and sports science. Athletes benefit from individualized development plans through our Sports Performance Program, which integrates strength and conditioning, recovery protocols, and mental performance coaching.
At WPCC, training begins in late October on our world-class homologated race trails, Lower Hughes and Meadows, supported by one of the most advanced early-season snowmaking systems in the country. Beyond these marquee venues, athletes gain access to the full mountain, allowing for a wide variety of training environments that replicate the challenges of championship competition.
We are proud to follow United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) and U.S. Ski & Snowboard (USSS) guidelines, ensuring that our athletes train under the highest professional standards. Each year, WPCC athletes qualify for regional and national championships, while our alumni go on to excel in NCAA programs, U.S. Ski Team development pipelines, and international circuits.
The Winter Park Competition Center is more than an academy—it is a legacy of performance across all disciplines. We don’t just prepare athletes to compete; we prepare them to lead, to excel, and to shine at every level of their sport on the hill and in life.
